Data Security and Cybercrime – Not just a technology issue

#Technology is not sufficient to guard against today’s threats. The ‘people’ factor is often ignored, yet it is a critical element in building a strong defence and mitigating risk. While many organisations spend significantly on building strong fire walls, they don’t necessarily address IT governance, privacy information and security awareness training. Nor have they developed an incident response plan that includes the Board, management, and the Communications team.

Carol Collinge and Alejandro Ibarra from Integree-T Security Solutions Inc. will provide an overview of the current threat landscape related to data security and cybercrime. They will also provide recommended practices for risk mitigation and security breach prevention.
