Design a new Data Management and Analytics Program with Bow Valley College

Join us for this great opportunity to contribute to the development of an innovative data program at Bow Valley College (BVC).

The School of Creative Technologies at BVC launched just a few weeks ago, with a new diploma and post-diploma certificates in digital marketing and software development opening September 2017. BVC is exploring a potential one year certificate Program in Data Management and Analytics to start in 2018, and would like to invite #Data for Good members to contribute insights and experiences into the program development process. Sarah Lewis, Program Development Officer with BVC, will share the journey of establishing the School and will facilitate a discussion on the new Program with questions like:

What niche could a Program like this fill in the Calgary market?

What knowledge and skills do data managers and analysts need to be successful today?

What specific technical training is most needed in Calgary? What are your ideas on specific courses that could be offered in the Program?

What types of jobs could Program graduates fill and are these jobs currently in demand?
