Help make Montréal better via data science

We will discuss the organizations we have contacted, and assess next steps. If you’ve talked to any organizations, please bring them up! We will assess each potential ‘client’ according to the following criteria:

• The Organization must be for good

• i.e. #not for profit

• The Organization must be for Montréal

• If it is another city, collaboration can be hard

• There must be a good answer to the question of “why us”? 

• The Organization must have specific questions that we can answer

• The results of the project must potentially have impact, preferably measurable

• The project must be data science based, and the Organization must have relevant data available                

• And of sufficient quantity. If it can be done in a couple of afternoons by a high school student armed with Excel, it does not take advantage of our skills

• The Organization must agree to & understand our confidentiality statement

• The Organization must be reputable
